Award-winning community in Ontario enters final phase of development

August 27, 2025

The Bluffs at Huron, our award-winning community in Goderich, Ontario, entered its final phase of development this month. Once completed later this year, this vibrant retirement community will boast 450 homes.

The latest homes to be constructed, include three different two-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow options, each with a sunroom, covered porch, and garage, and range from 1,177 to 1,595 sq ft. Offered for purchase on a land lease model with prices starting in the $400s, the completion of this community will increase the options for attainable housing in the province.

Eric Malcolmson, SVP of Development commented, “We are pleased to be entering our final development phase at The Bluffs and to be introducing even more amenities that will further promote the active lifestyle enjoyed by our homeowners in this award-winning community.  Being able to purchase a home on a land lease basis offers consumers considerable savings and enables them to get on the housing ladder sooner or to downsize and enjoy a more carefree retirement while still gaining equity in their home.”

In addition to the new homes, a dog park, outdoor pickleball court, and multi-use pavilion will be added as part of this final phase. These new amenities will complement the existing selection of leisure facilities including a clubhouse, recreation hall, indoor pool, fitness centre, patio with BBQ area and much more.

Popular with retirees looking to enjoy a relaxed lakefront living environment, The Bluffs scenic outdoor setting is matched only by its strong sense of community. The Residents Association coordinates a host of activities each year – from euchre, painting classes and book clubs to yoga, aquafit and line dancing. Not to mention a packed calendar of events from street parties to potlucks.

Close to Point Farms Provincial Park, and just a five-minute drive from Maitland Valley Marina, the Bluffs combines a wide range of on-site amenities with access to beautiful beaches, boating and hiking trails. While nearby Goderich, often known as Canada’s prettiest town, has plentiful shopping and restaurant options.
